SESSION DESK is a reliable and easy-to-use multitouch solution for a vivid presentation of your products, your company or the content you wish to display.

Thanks to the 6mm-thick tempered glass plate which protects the visible surface, the robust metal casing and the fact that all of the technical components are integrated and affixed, the hardware is very durable and well protected from external influences. The tempered glass prevents scratching and notching and can also be cared for very easily.
This makes SESSION DESK well suited to use in public places with a high frequency of users. In other words, a gang of children with sticky fingers or teenagers with beer bottles will not succeed in putting SESSION DESK out of action.

Because the infrastructure is fully integrated, SESSION DESK can be connected using just one cable (one-plug system). Once it has been initially installed, no technicians are needed to operate the desk. SESSION DESK is switched on and the application that has been created for you loads.

The hover function
This special function allows you to control the content by hovering with your hand over the table. The zone covered by tracking recognises hand movements at distances of up to six centimetres above the table surface. This allows you to control digital content without actually touching the table. Tracking quality
Due to its exceptional tracking quality, SESSION DESK offers high precision in accessing content, making it possible to use unusually small structures. Tracking is a chief feature for assessing any multitouchtable device. More precise tracking facilitates smoother operation and better interaction.

Shadow-free projection
SESSION DESK uses rear projection, which means that the projector projects the image onto the screen from below. Unlike front projection, the advantage of rear projection is that no shadows fall on the screen when operated using hands and arms.

Brilliant image quality
The images and films presented by SESSION DESK are of impressively high quality. This is achieved by means of very bright, even and high-contrast projection that is not angle-dependent. This allows users to experience the fascinating pleasure of magnifying images ‘live’ from very small sizes to sizes that cover the entire surface of SESSION DESK.

Variable sound from all four corners
SESSION DESK provides an option to use 4-channel sound, making it possible to position the sound within the application. Consequently, the right sound can be localised depending on the position of the users and how they touch the screen.

Since Archimedes Solutions has made its name providing equipment for exhibitions that have been touring for several years now, this was naturally one of the first aspects that we addressed.
Thanks to the design that incorporates fixed internal components, the robust casing and ease-of-use (switch on and off), the table is suitable for use as a mobile device. We will experience its baptism of fire in the course of our current exhibition project, ‘Expedition Zukunft’ (Exhibition Future), a science exhibition on behalf of the Max Planck Society and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. There are two versions of SESSION DESK on board the exhibition train, which will be travelling throughout Germany and stopping in 60 cities around the country.

We have programmed two sample applications in order to demonstrate the basic functions and possibilities of SESSION DESK.
SESSION Picture & Film is an application that can be used to present pictures and films. Both the pictures and the films can be increased to the size of the entire surface, rotated and activated using just two fingers. The application can be filled or updated quickly by easily using a content management system.
SESSION Wheel is an application that is especially fun to use thanks to its hover mode. By moving your hand in the air above the table, the film wheel is moved forwards and backwards. When several users are playing, a hovering ‘tug of war’ can easily ensue. The films in the wheel are pulled onto a surface, where they are magnified and ‘thrown away’ after watching.
